Duplie allows all users to control "if" and "how" they receive most notifications from our platform.  When an administrator chooses to send out an email blast (invite, campaign, update, etc.) they must choose a "Permission".  Users can change the permission preferences on their profile and allow Email, SMS/Text or none.  On the emails that are sent, there is also a link at the footer to "unsubscribe" from the email.  If a recipeint chooses to "unsubscribe from ALL" the Admin group is sent a in-app notification letting them know.  As this decision likely would change the user's status.

As an Administrator, one thing to keep in mind is to use an appropriate and relevant permission when sending out emails.

Users who receive SMS/Text messages from Duplie can also reply with STOP or START to prevent any SMS/Text from being sent (using STOP).  If they want to re-enable SMS, they will need to reply with START.
